What is lookaround?
lookaround finds people who are already asking for what you sell — and helps you reply where they are.
Most outbound marketing interrupts people who weren’t asking. lookaround does the opposite: it surfaces public conversations where someone is already looking for the kind of product you sell, so you can join a discussion that’s genuinely relevant instead of cold-pitching strangers.
You paste a product URL or a short description. lookaround reads it, works out which communities and questions matter, and searches eight public platforms for threads that signal buying intent — people complaining about an alternative, asking for a recommendation, comparing options, or describing the exact problem you solve. Each match is ranked, and a suggested reply is drafted for the strongest ones.
Who it’s for
- Founders and indie makers looking for their first users without a marketing budget.
- Go-to-market and growth teams doing social listening and warm-lead discovery across Reddit, forums, and Q&A sites.
- Anyone who would rather answer a real question than run another cold campaign.
What it does not do
lookaround never posts on your behalf. It only drafts a reply you can copy, edit, and post yourself — you stay in control of every interaction. It also doesn’t scrape private data; it searches public conversations only.
Who builds it
lookaround is a free tool built by unfoundbox. Curious how a search actually runs? See how it works or read the FAQ.
